The Corner Store was opened by the Doilney family in 1974. True to their nature, these pure-bred ski bums left graduate degrees and cushy east coast jobs to pursue first tracks and a laidback lifestyle in the prepubescent mining town of Park City.
As Park City became an international ski destination, The Corner Store remained a place where locals and tourists felt comfortable relaxing and telling stories of their exploits on the mountain.
Today Max Doilney along with Jeff Jacobs and a group of idealistic friends continue the tradition established by Max’s parents (Jim & Diane) nearly 50 years ago. The Corner Store remains the place for local skiers, mountain employees, and tourists to meet in the morning and Apres’ ski in the afternoon.
